prtMediaPathGroup

The prtMediaPathGroup consists of the prtMediaTable. The prtMediaTable contains an entry for each marker. Each prtMediaEntry consists of the following supported objects:

  • prtMediaPathMaxSpeedPrintUnit

  • prtMediaPathMediaSizeUnit

  • prtMediaPathMaxSpeed

  • prtMediaPathMaxMediaFeedDir

  • prtMediaPathMaxMediaXFeedDir

  • prtMediaPathMinMediaFeedDir

  • prtMediaPathMinMediaXFeedDir

  • prtMediaPathType

  • prtMediaPathDescription

  • prtMediaPathStatus

NOTE

The media path short edge binding depends on the tumble value and must not be confused with the way the paper sheet is fed.

prtMediaPathMaxSpeedPrintUnit

The return value is "impressionsPerHour" (7).

prtMediaPathMediaSizeUnit

The returned value depends on the value of setting "System of measurement" in the Settings Editor.

For "Metric": micrometers(4) is returned.

For "Imperial": tenThousandthOfInches (3) is returned.

  • "Simplex" for index 1

  • "Long-edge Binding Duplex" for index 2

  • "Short-edge Binding Duplex" for index 3

  • "Non process" for index 4

  • "Tab sheets" for index 5

  • "Tab sheets non process" for index 6

prtMediaPathStatus

When a sheet is jammed somewhere between the input tray and output deposit, a media path related alert is generated. When the media path is jammed, the 'Critical Alerts' flag is set and the media path is "Unavailable because Broken" (19).

In all other situations the media path is "Available and Idle" (0).
