Solve problems with previewing or exporting large files in Adobe Photoshop

Procedure

  1. Open Adobe Photoshop.
  2. Go to [Edit] > [Preferences] > [Performance].
  3. In the 'Memory Usage' section it is indicated how much memory Adobe Photoshop is allowed to use. This, however, doesn't include the memory used by the Touchstone Extensions. By default, the Adobe Photoshop Memory Usage is set to 70 percent. This means that the Touchstone Extensions can have difficulties when previewing or exporting large files, once Photoshop uses the allocated memory. When working with large files, it helps to reduce the amount of memory allocated to Adobe Photoshop.
