Read the connecting and synchronisation status

This topic contains the following instructions.

  1. Read the cluster connecting and synchronisation status

  2. Read the printer connecting and synchronisation status

Where can you find the synchronisation status

PRISMAsync Remote Match uses different symbols to inform you on the cluster status and the printer status. When you hover a symbol you find detailed information on the status.

NOTE

The control panel of the cluster printers and PRISMAsync Remote Manager also show the printer status.

Successful synchronisation
Failed synchronisation
NOTE

If a printer belongs to different clusters, the control panel and PRISMAsync Remote Manager only show the status of the last synchronisation.

Read the cluster connecting and synchronisation status

The cluster status is the combined status of the cluster printers.

Cluster status symbol

Description

  • [Being synchronised...]

  • Remains as long as at least one printer is being synchronised.

  • The cluster has been synchronised successfully because all cluster printers have been synchronised successfully.

  • [Last synchronisation:]: Date and time of the last successful synchronisation.

    NOTE

The time zone of the browser is applied.

  • [Synchronisation failed]

  • The synchronisation of at least one printer failed or has not been completed.

  • [Never synchronised]

  • The currently configured cluster has not been synchronised yet.

Status symbol

Description

This printer is connecting.

Connecting means that the cluster printer is establishing a connection with the physical printer via the cloud service.

NOTE

It can take up to 10 minutes to connect the printer.

The synchronisation of this printer has been started.

The last synchronisation of this printer has been performed successfully.

The last synchronisation of this printer caused one or more problems. Hover the icon to see the problems.

  • This printer was disconnected: .

Disconnected means that the cluster printer was not able to establish a connection with the physical printer via the cloud service. For example, because the printer was in deep sleep, has been shut down, or that the printer was not connected to the network.

  • The synchronisation of this printer has not been performed, because the connection was lost or a user aborted the synchronisation.

  • This printer was disabled. (PRISMAsync Remote Match was disabled in the Settings Editor of the printer.)

  • This printer had too many resource entries for: <list of resources>. This problem can occur when this printer received so many new resource entries that the maximum number of resource entries has been reached.

  • This printer used different authorisation settings for: <list of resources>. This problem can occur when the authorisation settings of a received hotfolder are not valid on this printer.

NOTE

Refer to Prevent and solve problems to solve these problems before you start a new synchronisation.

  • [Never synchronised]

  • This printer has not been synchronised yet for the cluster.
