Manage your documents in the document list

Introduction

When you add a document to a job, you can perform job management. The status of the documents in the list also gives information on your job.

Move the mouse pointer over a document name to display a tooltip. The tooltip shows:

  • The folder path to where the file is located.

  • The file format.

  • The value of the [Legend position] setting and the calculated position of the legend, if any.

  • The number of pages.

  • The used template.

  • The used media type.

  • Any warning or error message.

Change the document properties

Select the required documents.

Click on the [Properties] button. A pop-up window will be displayed where you can change the [Image orientation] and the [Legend position] of the document.

Change the document template.

Select the required documents.

Click on the template drop-down list below the print preview.

Select a template.

Change the number of copies of a document

Click on the number of copies of the required document.

The field becomes editable. Edit the number of copies.

Change the print order

You can change the position of a document in the document list. Select the document in the list and drag and drop it to the preferred position.

Change the job name

The first document in the list automatically is the name of the job.

Click on the job name, to change it.

The field becomes editable and you can type in a new name. Click enter or click the save icon to save the new name.

Remove a document from a job

Select the document you want to remove from a job.

Click on the [Remove] button.

Remove several documents from a job

Select the documents you want to remove from a job.

Click on the [Remove] button.

Remove all documents from a job

Click on the [Remove all] button. A pop-up window will be displayed to ask for confirmation.

Sort all documents on media size

Click on the [Media] button to sort the documents on media size.

Description

Document with blue background color

The preview belongs to the document with the blue background color.

Document with orange icon (warning)

When a document requires attention, an orange icon is displayed in front of the document and a message is displayed momentarily on the bottom right-hand side of the window.

Document with red icon (error)

When a document is in error, a red icon is displayed in front of the document and a message is displayed momentarily on the bottom right-hand side of the window.

IMPORTANT

It is impossible to export or print a job that contains a document in error. Remove the document from the job, or solve the error, to be able to continue.

Manage the options of the document list

You can select which information is displayed in the document list. Click on the three vertical dots on the right-hand side of the table header.

In a new window, you can select and deselect the displayed fields, store your selection as the default, and reset the selection to factory defaults.

When you select [Filter], text boxes become available in the document list, allowing you to filter the documents.
