The licenses are based on a MAC address of the computer where the Floating Licence Server (FLS) is installed. A MAC address is the unique identifier of a network adapter. A computer may have multiple network adapters, both physical and virtual (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, VPN, VMplayer, …).
The FLS can contain multiple licence files, for example, one licence file for PRISMAprepare and one licence file for PRISMAdirect.
When you receive a new licence file, do:
Click [Edit].
When you want to update a licence file, you have to remove the current licence file first.
Select the licence file and click [Remove].
Click [Yes].
The licence file is removed.
Click [Add] .
Browse to the new licence file.
Select the file and click [Open].
