The licence server has two daemons that provide the licence functionality for the server:
The licence manager daemon
The licence manager daemon handles initial contact with client applications, starts the vendor daemon and passes requests to check in and check out licences to the vendor daemon.
The vendor daemon
The vendor daemon is responsible for the core operations of the licence server, such as licence allocation.
The Licence server settings dialogue displays the list of available licences.
You can add and remove the licences for the application. You can configure the ports of the licence server when you have added a new licence file.
The following licence information is displayed:
Functionality
The list of the licenced feature(s) of the application.
Version
The version of the licenced feature(s) of the application.
Valid until
The expiration date of the licence(s).
Instances
The maximum number of instances per feature that can run concurrently.
