Hard disk encryption

Hard disk encryption is a feature that can be described as follows:

• By default, all data on the PRISMAsync Print Server hard disk is encrypted when supported by the PRISMAsync Print Server hardware.

• You cannot disable the hard disk encryption of the PRISMAsync Print Server.

• PRISMAsync Print Server hard disk encryption is based on BitLocker, certified Microsoft operating system software.

1. Open the Settings Editor and go to: [Configuration]  → [Security]  → [Hard disk encryption] .

2. In the [Hard disk encryption] title bar, read the [PRISMAsync Print Server hard disk encryption] value.

   • [Supported and enabled]: Hard disk encryption is activated and it is not possible to disable it.

   • [Not supported]: Hard disk encryption is not supported and it is not possible to enable it. The PRISMAsync Print Server hardware does not support hard disk encryption.
