The [Application type] option allows you to define the document as a [Stapled document].

You cannot use staples for any pages selection, only for the whole document.
Navigate to the and pick the entry [Stapled document].
Select a value for .
Select the [Staple location]. The content of the selector is dependent on the setting for the [Binding edge]:
